Introduction

The STL export plugin is a tool on SketchUp that perfectly imports and exports. stl files in a format suitable for 3D printing.
The. stl file consists of definitions for multiple triangular facets, each of which includes the three-dimensional coordinates of the vertices of the triangle and the normal vector of the triangular facets. The arrangement order of the vertices of a triangle follows the right-hand rule. The. stl file has two encoding formats: text file (ASCII) and binary file (Binary).
The STL export plugin can convert between the. stl and. skp formats of these two encodings, and can also control the import and export units based on their boundaries.

Export STL（Export STL） Animation Tutorial
Select the model to be exported in SketchUp, check whether to export only the selected model after executing the command, set the export unit and select the code, and then select the file export directory (English path is preferred) to complete the export.

Import STL（Import STL） Animation Tutorial
After executing the command, select. STL format in the Import dialog box opened in SketchUp. You can set the import unit and related settings in the options to complete the STL file import.
